Job Summary
Greet the public, exchange information, and provide customer assistance at a concessions stand or gift shop. Compute cost of sales, accept payments, and make change while maintaining sale items, equipment, and supplies in a clean, attractive, and sanitary condition. Operate computerized ticketing systems, telephones, and inventory systems. Check delivery orders for accuracy and handle cash in accordance with established procedures. Perform duties consistent with less experienced workers and provide technical assistance or training to lower-level part-time staff. This position assists in the day-to-day operation of the Recreation, Health, and Wellness Division within the City of Oklahoma City.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age at the time of application submission
- Ability to travel is required
- Must complete all mandatory training, including orientation
- Must work all scheduled shifts during first month of active status
- Must be in good standing without performance issues
- Must be eligible for rehire (if former employee)
- Must be able to accept cash and make change
- Must operate a concession stand or gift shop
- Must collect fees, admission tickets, and passes from patrons
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities consistent with less experienced workers
- Must provide technical assistance and/or training to lower level part-time staff
- Must check delivery orders for accuracy and acceptable product delivery conditions
- Must handle cash in accordance with established procedures
- Must complete Level 4 Security Awareness Training
- Must pass an online certification test
- Must be subject to a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Interstate Identification Index (III) Fingerprint Background check
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be subject to a drug test
- Must be subject to a physical examination
- Must have a driver license (commercial or non-commercial) if the position includes a driver license job requirement
- Must be able to provide specialized services in support of planned departmental programs and activities on a temporary or contract basis
