Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for the accurate handling of restaurant financial transactions, including reconciling daily credit card transactions, making deposits, maintaining petty cash logs, processing payments for employees and patrons, and ensuring accurate cash management and reporting. Responsibilities include cashing out servers, bartenders, and retail staff; balancing the safe multiple times daily; preparing bank deposits and manifests; reconciling vouchers and chargebacks; maintaining cash bags and logs; assisting with paid ins/outs and direct bill payments; and serving as a potential cafe receptionist as assigned by management. Requires handling high-volume cash operations with strong accuracy, problem solving, multitasking, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards; capacity to lift up to 25 pounds and to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The role is located at Hard Rock Cafe Orlando and is described as part-time with a focus on cash management and guest service.
Required Qualifications
- Previous cash handling experience in a high volume establishment
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm and focused in a fast paced environment
- Practice safety and sanitation standards
- Recycle products when possible
- Ability to bend, reach and lift up to 25 lb cash bags
- Positive attitude toward staff
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
