Job Summary
Cashier role at Harps focusing on accurate transaction processing, proper bagging and handling of items, delivering high-quality customer service, and supporting store operations. Responsibilities include processing transactions according to company guidelines, bagging orders while maintaining safety and product integrity, identifying customer needs and offering appropriate services, solving problems, upholding safety and quality standards, building relationships with customers, and maintaining professionalism and reliability in line with Harps’ mission and SMILE program. Requires flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays) and physical ability to stand, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Prefer previous experience operating a cash register
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Ability to move, lift, carry and place merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
- Frequent standing and ability to perform repetitive motion
- May be exposed to weather conditions and allergens
- CRIMINAL background check/drug screen may be required
