Cashier

Cashier role at a gas station and store in Wheeling, IL. Responsibilities include greeting customers, accurately processing cash, credit, and debit transactions, operating the register for fuel and in-store purchases, promoting the Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program, answering customer questions, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and store, stocking shelves and merchandise, assisting with inventory monitoring, and following company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling guidelines. Additional duties include assisting with opening and closing duties. Requires standing for the shift, ability to lift 5–20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and the ability to work in varying temperatures by pumps and in the cooler. Qualifications include a preferred high school diploma or equivalent, cashier or customer service experience is a plus, and strong communication, basic math, and money-handling skills; being dependable, honest, and team-oriented is important.
