Job Summary
Conduct high-level customer service at checkouts, accurately recording transactions in electronic cash registers, mainlines, and self-checkouts. Replenish merchandise around the checkout area while ensuring health and safety policies, loss prevention best practices, and tobacco/lottery compliance are followed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Operate equipment including ladders and perform repetitive tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 18 kg. Work a typical full-time schedule of 35-40 hours weekly consisting of day shifts, two evenings, and alternating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization for the duration of employment.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs).
- Must be able to stand and/or walk.
- Must be able to bend, twist, and squat.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving firm grasping.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.
- Must be able to reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
- Must be able to operate equipment, including using a ladder.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
