Job Summary
Engage guests with friendly conversations and eye contact while scanning items, processing sales, and handling monetary transactions with care. Bag products thoughtfully to ensure they reach customers in the correct condition. Maintain register station neatness, stock supplies, and relay guest requests to leadership as needed. Ensure quality and quantity standards are met during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm. Perform other duties to support the team and maintain regular, timely attendance. This role requires standing for long periods, lifting merchandise, and operating register equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Ability to walk in the store
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity
- Eye-hand-foot coordination
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store
- Ability to lift
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding retail sales and service
- Ability to process information and merchandise transactions and handle cash and media at registers
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and retail associate team members
- Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
