Job Summary
Engage guests with friendly conversations and eye contact, then scan items, process sales, and handle monetary transactions efficiently. Bag products thoughtfully, maintain register station neatness, and relay guest requests to leadership. Ensure quality and quantity standards are met during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm, while performing other duties as needed to support the team. Maintain regular attendance and provide adequate notice for occasional absences. Requires standing for long periods, bending, and lifting merchandise. Schedule is flexible across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Ability to walk in the store
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity
- Eye-hand-foot coordination
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store
- Ability to lift
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding retail sales and service
- Ability to process information and merchandise transactions and handle cash and media at registers
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and retail associate team members
- Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
