Job Summary
Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service by greeting shoppers, assisting with product questions, and processing purchases efficiently while scanning items, bagging orders, and collecting tenders. Handle all cash and tender transactions responsibly, including balancing tills, and apply product codes accurately to ensure timely checkout. Support store operations by answering incoming phone calls, assisting with safe alcohol sales where Smart Serve certification is required, and maintaining clean, safe work areas through general housekeeping and cart retrieval. Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting involving multiple deadlines, extended standing, and work in cooler or outdoor conditions. Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Fluency in English is essential; French skills are an asset.
Required Qualifications
- A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service
- Retail experience is considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
- A minimum age of 18 years
- Successful completion of Smart Serve certification (or willingness to complete)
- The ability to work independently with attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results and maintaining cleanliness standards
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong mathematical ability with a high degree of accuracy when processing transactions and handling tenders
- Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement or tasks, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions
- Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English
