Cashier

Greet customers at the dealership, answer and route incoming calls, and take messages. Receive cash from customers and employees in payment for goods and services and record the amount received in an accurate manner and perform additional clerical functions as assigned. Meet and greet customers in a professional manner; be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient with all customers and employees. Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system. Receive cash, checks and credit card payments and record the amounts on the repair order and/or counter ticket; make change and issue receipts. Ensure every repair order is signed at payment, verify totals across cash, checks and cards, handle refunds for approved returns, refer questions to the service advisor, and assist with referrals to appropriate staff. Maintain high standards of customer service and handle complaints with integrity and poise. Requires high school diploma/GED, proficiency in MS Word/Excel, dealership or retail receptionist experience, and ability to work evenings/weekends.
