Job Summary
Conduct daily store operations including unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining displays. Operate cash registers to process transactions, collect payments, and manage drawer pulls while ensuring strict cash accountability. Lead store activities in the absence of management by authorizing refunds, counting registers, and making bank deposits. Clean store floors, restock returned items, and assist customers by locating merchandise. Open and close the store under Area Manager direction while following all Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
