Job Summary
Operate cash registers, bag merchandise, and collect payments while managing drawer pulls and bank deposits. Unload trucks, unpack cartons, and stock shelves by rotating and facing merchandise to build displays. Assist customers in locating items, greet shoppers, and maintain clean store floors and restroom areas. In the absence of the Store Manager, authorize refunds, count registers, monitor cameras, and oversee key control and cash security. Follow Standard Operating Procedures, manage plan-o-grams, and complete required paperwork and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
