Job Summary
Cashier at Dairy Queen in Ellenwood, GA. Responsible for delivering a great guest experience by taking and entering orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean front-of-house area. Responsibilities include greeting guests, explaining menu items, promoting current promotions, accurately completing orders and guest transactions, operating the point-of-sale system, handling cash, counting tills, maintaining receipts, keeping dining areas clean, stocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. Must be able to stand/walk for shifts, lift up to 50 pounds as needed, and work flexible hours including weekends. Emphasizes friendly, enthusiastic service and brand representation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Ability to work a minimum of 9 hours per week
- Able to operate cash registers and handle cash payments
- Enter guest orders accurately into the point of sale system
- Explain menu items and suggest additional items
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment
- Stock paper goods, condiments, silverware, and beverages
- Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
