Job Summary
Cashier at Dairy Queen responsible for delivering friendly, enthusiastic guest service, taking and entering orders, processing payments, and upholding brand standards. Responsibilities include greeting guests, explaining menu items, accurately completing orders and transactions, operating the POS system, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, stocking supplies, and supporting training activities. Must be able to stand/walk for shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and work weekends. Handoffs include drive-thru and in-restaurant service with focus on promotions and guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Ability to work a minimum of 9 hours per week
- Stand and walk continuously
- Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including ladders
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead
- Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
- Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
- Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the environment
- Work in an environment with hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
- Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment
- Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
- Accurately complete orders and guest transactions
- Enter guest orders accurately into the POS system
- Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
- Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
- Stock paper goods, condiments, silverware, and beverages
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Must be available to work weekends
