Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Assist citizens with service inquiries, minor complaints, payments, and general questions regarding water and sewer services. Process monies and payments to HWWS accounts at the window and/or drive-thru, while handling service connections and disconnections. Interpret routine policies and regulations based on training and on-the-job experience, applying independent judgment to a variety of accounting and clerical duties. Provide advice on unusual work problems under direct supervision, ensuring all work is reviewed for accuracy and adherence to department standards. Maintain extensive contact with the public via telephone and in person, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and firmness while a supervisor remains available to aid with concerns.
