Job Summary
Cashier position at Cosentino's Price Chopper in Liberty, MO. Responsibilities include processing payments (cash, checks, gift cards, credit/debit), handling government assistance programs (e.g., WIC, food stamps), issuing receipts and change, scanning items, using cash registers and verification equipment, maintaining front-end appearance, resolving customer complaints, and adhering to health/safety regulations. Requires knowledge of PLUs, government-regulated weights and measures, and alcohol/tobacco sale rules; training is provided per the Learning Plan. Part-time shift mornings to evenings with weekend availability; high school diploma preferred. Reports to Office Manager.
Required Qualifications
- A valid liquor license must be obtained prior to first day on the job (if applicable)
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan
- Essential knowledge and skills related to cash handling, payment processing, IDS/PLUs, and customer service
