Job Summary
Operate cash registers, lottery machines, and credit card terminals while accurately accounting for monies, cigarettes, and tickets. Greet customers, retrieve merchandise, run fuel dispensers, and dispense propane. Stock and price items, check expiration dates, and verify vendors. Perform light janitorial duties including trash collection, window washing, and maintaining the lot, restrooms, and building. Maintain a high level of customer service and a positive team environment. Be available for all hours of operation, including standing, walking, and exposure to variable temperatures and chemicals. Report to work on time, complete assignments thoroughly, and handle simple math for counting and recording.
Required Qualifications
- Responsible to report to work at the scheduled time
- Be a team member who can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner
- Be conscientious about assignments
- Accurately handle money
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Will work independently and be self-motivated
- Will do simple math such as counting, recording, addition, subtraction, and multiplication
- Have an excellent attendance record
- Be available all hours of operation
- Will stand and walk for duration of shift
- Regularly maneuver up to 20 pounds
- Work with cleaning solvents and chemicals
- Daily exposure to gasoline and oil products
