Job Summary
Engages with customers and operates checkout, ensuring accurate totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items; maintains accurate register tender and bagging procedures; knowledgeable in tender policies (checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML); provides friendly customer service, answers questions, locates and promotes products, and responds to complaints; promotes enrollment in the Thank You Card program and assists with signups; maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary front-end area and adheres to company policies; supports handling of restricted items (tobacco, alcohol, cannabis-based and pharmaceutical products).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age required
- TABC/LACT certification required where applicable
- Basic knowledge of cash register
- Basic knowledge of tender policies and procedures
