Job Summary
Greet guests, operate the point of sale system, and process payments while delivering food and beverage orders. Collect and return change, take orders, and respond to guest requests in the food venue. Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying identification for guests under 30, monitoring consumption, and clearing containers. Promote guest relations by providing menu knowledge, pricing, and information on promotions and events. Perform shift accounting by counting currency, processing discounts and credit cards, and balancing the drawer against reports. Keep concession areas stocked and clean by restocking supplies and following established cleaning procedures for all surfaces. Requires 3 months cash handling experience, a County of San Diego Food Handler Card, and CA ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification. Full-time hourly position with a direct report to food service management.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months cash handling experience

- Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
- Ability to count U.S. currency and make change in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions

- Ability to routinely lift and carry 25 pounds
