Job Summary
Process orders and payments accurately at the register while scanning items, handling returns, and ensuring department sanitation and safety standards are met. Provide excellent customer service by communicating about membership programs and bagging groceries according to guidelines. When acting as Person In Charge, supervise the front end, oversee the entire store, handle security issues, and ensure all policies and procedures are followed. Maintain orderly register areas and address equipment problems while adhering to store standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
- Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
- Ability to operate an electronic register
- Must demonstrate basic math skills, ability to handle money accurately, and proficient at 10-key
- Excellent attention to detail, multitasking skills and organizational skills
- Must be able to meet physical demands of position including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40 lbs
- Excellent leadership, teambuilding, and communication skills
- A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health
- If hired into this role, a CPR/First Aid Certification
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail or public customer contact experience
- Background in cashiering and retail grocery industry
