Cashier

Operate cash registers and perform all related checkout procedures in a fast, efficient, friendly, and accurate manner. Maintain knowledge of current produce codes to ensure fast checkouts for guests and possess knowledge of product locations throughout the store to assist customers. Follow all ID policies on checks, tobacco, alcohol, and WIC. Implement security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by company policies and as directed by supervisors. Bag guest purchases in a fast and efficient manner in accordance with recommended company procedures. Weekend shifts are required, with Sundays as applicable. Minimum age is 16 years, though 18 years is required to sell tobacco products and/or alcohol. Tobacco and Alcohol certification is preferred, and cash handling experience is preferred. Basic math skills, including using units of money, weight, measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages are required. Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, and perform repetitive motions is required.
