Job Summary
Cashier Associate responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions quickly and accurately at the checkout, handling tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per company policy, and adhering to cash-handling limits. The role requires maintaining a clean, safe work area, stocking/restocking inventory, assisting customers with questions about products, and supporting store operations and loyalty programs. The position supports both full-time and part-time shifts and emphasizes excellent customer service, safety, attendance, timeliness, and professionalism in a fast-paced grocery environment. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience in grocery retail
- Experience handling monetary transactions
- Customer service experience
- Ability to read, count and write
- Ability to stand and/or bend over for duration of shift
- Knowledge of basic math
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
- Understanding of and compliance with company quality goals
