Job Summary
Settle guest checks by cash, credit card, gift certificate, or foreign currency exchange in F&B outlets, verifying signatures, card validity, and transaction totals. Process cash payments by issuing house banks, managing shortages over US$5, and ensuring full value in the house bank. At shift end, place cash sales in remittance envelopes, log drops in the Daily Cash Drop Sheet, and deposit funds into the secure drop safe witnessed by Security. Maintain proper grooming, adhere to hotel rules, and anticipate customer needs to enhance satisfaction. Ensure punctuality and enforce grooming standards for team members.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a guest-facing role within a luxury hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues professionally
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
