Job Summary
Operate the POS system to process transactions with speed and efficiency while maintaining product knowledge. Count and balance cash tills before and after shifts, bag customer purchases, and collect shopping carts from the parking lot regardless of conditions. Stock and maintain displays, keep the work area clean and hazard-free, and adhere to time and attendance policies. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned while keeping a positive attitude throughout the shift. This role supports our third-generation family business with four Metro Detroit locations, emphasizing superior service and team relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrates basic math skills with and without a calculator
- Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
- Knowledge of current product and codes
- Must be able to handle average-weight objects up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand or walk for more than four (4) hours per day
