Job Summary
Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely while processing purchases quickly and accurately using an electronic cash register, scanner, and scale. Clean the register area by sweeping floors and checking lanes, then bag customer purchases correctly. Prevent loss through careful product handling, accurate coupon and voucher processing, and strict adherence to store procedures. Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors, substitute for absent workers, and ensure safety by notifying supervisors of potential hazards. Requires standing capability for four hours and physical ability to move up to 40 lbs. Part-time hourly role with direct supervision from the Front-End Manager or Store Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Above and Beyond Customer Service
- Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior Experience in related field or industry
- Standing capability, 4 hours minimum
- Move a maximum of 40 lbs. from 6 inches to 48 inches.
- Move a maximum of 40 lbs. up to 15 feet.
- Pick up items from floor/case/shelf/cart.
- Retrieve merchandise on the top of grocery shelves, approximately 84 inches from the floor.
- Bend and twist at the waist while cleaning, moving/removing merchandise and loading/unloading merchandise.
