Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely while processing purchases quickly and accurately using an electronic cash register, scanner, and scale. Clean the register area by sweeping floors and maintaining check lanes, registers, and scales. Prevent loss through careful product handling, correct price identification, and accurate voucher processing for WIC, coupons, and payment methods. Bag customer purchases and perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors, including substituting for absent workers. Understand safety requirements for the cash register, scanner, scale, and intercom system. Stand for at least four hours and move up to 40 lbs over various distances while retrieving merchandise from shelves up to 84 inches high. Report directly to the Front-End Manager or Store Manager.
