Job Summary
To provide excellent service to all Jimbo’s customers while being accurate and efficient in all Front-End operations. Essential duties include proactively assisting customers, ringing up and bagging groceries, operating cash register and related systems, maintaining till accuracy, ensuring front-end policies are followed, assisting other team members, stocking front end, organizing merchandise, and attending meetings. Qualifications emphasize age, customer-facing demeanor, cashiering experience (preferred), communication, ability to read UPCs, teamwork, and maintaining productivity with minimal supervision. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods; working in varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be minimum18 years of age
- Friendly, outgoing personality capable of interacting with a variety of personalities
- Previous cashiering experience and knowledge of natural foods products preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read product labels and UPC codes
- Ability to work with others to achieve a common goal
- Ability to stay productive during down time and organize, prioritize, and accomplish tasks with little or no supervision
- Physical Demands: lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, repetitive motion, bend/twist, push 6 carts
- Work Environment: able to work under varied conditions (warm/cold)
