Job Summary
Process customer purchases by accurately receiving payments, issuing change, and maintaining proper cash-drawer controls. Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, helping locate items and answering basic product questions. Restock food, beverages, utensils, and supplies to ensure availability throughout operating hours. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station, service counters, and surrounding dining areas in compliance with food-safety standards. Record and reconcile transactions, report discrepancies, and follow established cash-handling policies. Collaborate with nutrition services staff to support smooth cafeteria operations and uphold service expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read and write
- Able to follow oral and written directions
- Age 16 years or older
- Excellent customer service and cash handling skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Adequate vision, hearing, and communication skills
