Job Summary
Scan customer selections, ensure price and quantity accuracy, and accept payments while issuing receipts. Respond to inquiries about products, promotions, or item locations, and resolve complaints or process refunds and exchanges. Operate scanners, scales, and cash registers to balance registers and generate sales reports. Bag or wrap purchases for safe transport and follow store procedures for coupons, gift cards, and restricted items like alcohol or cigarettes. Maintain a clean workspace throughout the shift. This role requires a high school diploma, six months of customer service experience, and the ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 months of Customer service or Cashier experience
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- High level of energy with strong customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service
- Attention to detail
- Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints
