Job Summary
The Cash Poster will post and reconcile insurance and patient payments for three DME entities, using bank lockbox files, EOBs, and ERAs; perform audit support, reconciliation, and variance resolution; ensure payments are applied to the correct entity and patient accounts; balance daily cash activity by entity and reconcile postings to bank deposits and lockbox totals; identify and resolve unapplied/misapplied payments and posting discrepancies; process daily bank lockbox files and reconcile to system postings; maintain documentation and ensure remittance information is properly indexed for each entity; support audits, external vendors, and internal reviews; collaborate with billing, AR, finance, and management to resolve posting issues; adhere to cash handling, data integrity, and HIPAA standards; requires high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred; 1–3 years of cash posting or payment processing experience in healthcare/DME; familiarity with remittance structures and DME billing systems preferred; location: Clearwater, FL (US).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting, finance, or healthcare administration preferred
- 1–3 years of cash posting or payment processing experience, preferably in healthcare or DME
- Demonstrated experience posting: Insurance payments, Patient payments, Lockbox payments, ERAs and EOBs
- Strong data entry and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
