Job Summary
The Cash Operations Analyst role is responsible for administering and overseeing daily cash operations, including lockbox, cash receipts, and cash applications, with a focus on accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting to support liquidity management and revenue recognition. The position collaborates with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and banking partners to ensure cash visibility and compliance with accounting, audit, and regulatory requirements, and to resolve cash-related exceptions. The role emphasizes maintaining internal controls, improving processes, and supporting month-end close and financial reporting, all while applying advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in cash operations, accounts receivable, treasury, accounting, or related financial operations
- Experience with ERP systems and cash management platforms
- Experience supporting month-end close activities, audit requests, and financial reporting processes
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, cash application processes, and internal controls
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for investigating cash, payment, and reconciliation discrepancies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, data analysis, pivot tables)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Working knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards related to cash management and financial reporting
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements
