Cash Applications Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct daily cash applications of customer payments, process refund requests and credit card transactions, and resolve customer claims by gathering necessary information and collaborating with internal departments. Produce monthly reconciliations and status updates on assigned accounts while running maintenance reports to match claims, credits, and manual offsets. Assist customers with Accounts Receivable questions and problems via phone, email, and written correspondence. Prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of work products. Occasional travel is required, and overtime may be requested based on workload or special projects.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in A/R
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A demonstrated ability to follow through
- Accuracy and good customer service skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience
- Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed
- Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through
- Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization; takes the lead in inspiring others to work together for mutual benefit
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail
- Boston is the preferred location for this role; however, we will also consider qualified candidates who are based remotely within the United States
