Cash Application Operations Associate

Job Summary
Apply incoming customer payments accurately and on time by reviewing remittance details to match them to correct accounts and invoices. Research payment discrepancies, including unapplied or misapplied cash, and assist with short payments, overpayments, credits, and deductions. Maintain payment documentation, reconcile customer accounts, and update internal systems with accurate information and notes. Work with Collections, Accounting, and other teams to resolve payment questions and escalate complex issues as needed. Perform basic customer credit verification and complete required financial and compliance forms following established procedures. Fully remote position supporting leading U.S. cannabis companies.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, or a similar finance operations role
- Strong understanding of cash application, payment reconciliation, unapplied cash, deductions, credits, and account adjustments
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze AR and payment data
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
