Job Summary
Support individuals with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness by teaching independent living skills such as money management, cooking, and personal hygiene. Develop functional Individualized Service Plans aligned with personal goals and facilitate community involvement. Work with clients in community settings or their homes, requiring a valid driver's license and computer proficiency. Schedule includes after-school hours and no weekends, with flexible part-time or full-time options. This role offers a pathway from part-time to full-time as caseloads grow, supported by comprehensive benefits and career-building opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS in human services, education, or human services related field)
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Non-human services
- AA Degree
- High school diploma/GED
- Must have some basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Good driving record
- Ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check
