Job Summary
Provide social work services to individuals, families, and children to resolve economic, medical, emotional, social, and environmental challenges. Conduct case management and assist clients with navigating complex needs while maintaining a valid New York State driver's license or demonstrating equivalent transportation capabilities. Submit applications through the Jefferson County Employment Portal or by mailing paper forms to the Human Resources office at 175 Arsenal Street, Watertown, NY 13600. This non-competitive permanent appointment is part of the Hiring Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program, with the civil service exam waived. Review of applications begins July 24, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with or university with an associate's degree and two years of Human Service's experience
- Valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet the transportation needs of the job
