Job Summary
The Case Worker at The Salvation Army provides critical support and coordination for children and youth at the Garden Street Family Shelter. Responsibilities include coordinating case services with social workers, planning children's activities, transporting students to school, and maintaining participant records. Candidates are required to possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a professional demeanor, along with a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum three (3) years experience in social services, case management, child services or related field
- Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
- Must be 21 years or older
- Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak and write the English language at a high and professional level
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent and professional telephone etiquette and presence
- High degree of organizational skills
- Approach problem solving creatively
- Strong ability to utilize a high level of time management and handling multiple tasks
