Job Summary
Lead and coordinate Safe Families for Children (SFFC) program activities: conduct family intakes, assess needs, and provide ongoing direct support and strength-based coaching to parents in crisis; perform case management through advocacy, referrals, and resource navigation; maintain regular weekly check-ins and safety monitoring for children in host homes; lead volunteer training and provide oversight to host families and volunteers; conduct host home screenings and safety assessments; build partnerships with churches and community organizations to connect families to resources; maintain accurate confidential documentation and participate in quality improvement efforts; requires collaboration with a small mission-driven team and flexibility to address program needs. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (preferred) and 2–4 years of experience with vulnerable children/families; trauma-informed, strengths-based practice knowledge; and proficiency with Microsoft Office and data systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience working with vulnerable children and families in crisis situations
- Experience in case management, family support, coaching, or child and family services
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, strengths-based practice, poverty, crisis stabilization, and family systems
- Experience training, supervising, mentoring, or coaching volunteers, interns, or staff preferred
