Job Summary

Case Manager for YWCA NENY Rapid Rehousing program responsible for a caseload of about 30 participants/households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to domestic violence. Responsibilities include conducting intake screenings to assess housing needs, evaluating physical and mental health needs, facilitating referrals, assisting with budgeting and lease management, coordinating financial counseling, providing ongoing case management post-housing, supporting access to social services (SSI/SSDI, employment, education, childcare), participating in apartment inspections, maintaining client files and case notes in Empower database, and attending conferences/trainings. Required skills include program budgeting, knowledge of NYS tenant rights, HUD standards, and proficiency with MS Office and databases. Eligible candidates may have 1-4 years of experience in low-income housing support and an Associates degree in Human Services or related field; valid NYS driver's license and ability to travel are also expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with budgeting and expense management in a program setting.
  • Knowledge of NYS tenant and/or landlord rights.
  • Knowledge of HUD requirements and standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet use, and database systems.
