Job Summary
Violence Intervention Specialist position based at THMA hospital locations in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of client care from intake and initial screenings to arranging counseling, medical care, legal assistance, and other resources. Duties include calling and directing referrals, maintaining client records, generating case plans and reports, and advocating for clients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Requires strong interpersonal skills, experience in case management, trauma-informed care, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Role involves community outreach, travel to hospital sites and community settings, and adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality. Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; travel as needed. Hours: part-time, 20 hours per week. This role will be based at one of the THMA hospital locations (Mercy Fitzgerald, Nazareth, or St. Mary’s Medical Center) with direct services to individuals affected by violence and collaboration with THMA’s VIP program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human services (counseling, psychology, social work, etc.)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, preferably in violence intervention or trauma-informed care.
