Job Summary
Case Manager Supervisor oversees case managers at a shelter program, guiding on-site and community-based services, ensuring timely service planning, linkages to entitlement programs, mental health, substance abuse, employment, medical, education, child care, and early childhood services, with a strong focus on placement of residents into permanent housing and increasing self-sufficiency. Responsibilities include leading team meetings, case conferences, audits, identifying service gaps, ensuring regulatory compliance, and timely reporting. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or equivalent experience, at least 2 years in case management with supervisory experience preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and willingness for evening/weekend coverage. Desired: knowledge of family systems practice, advocacy, mediation, and a valid US driver’s license; proficiency with Microsoft Office; commitment to non-profit housing and homelessness services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field OR equivalent experience and skills
- Minimum of 2 years of case management, assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention preferred
- Supervisory experience in a case management setting is highly desired
- Knowledge and understanding of the family systems approach to practice preferred
- Strong verbal, writing, and negotiating skills, with experience in advocacy and mediation
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative, be dependable and resourceful, and pay keen attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills to enable management of multiple priorities concurrently and in a time-sensitive manner
- Valid US driver’s license a plus
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
- Able to provide evening and weekend coverage as needed
