Job Summary
Case Manager for the STOP Program at WestCare Foundation who will manage a large caseload of participants released from prison substance abuse programs. Responsibilities include heavy documentation, coordinating services across multiple agencies, traveling in a personal vehicle to community-based providers, conducting in-prison presentations, and collaborating with parole. Must embody the organization’s mission and clinical goals. Requires knowledge of the criminal justice system, excellent language and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and confidentiality. Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain WestCare vehicle insurance, CDCR clearance, CPR and First Aid certifications, and an annual TB test are required. Regional travel is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working with the criminal justice population
- One (1) year case management experience is preferred
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred
- High School diploma or its equivalent is required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CDCR Clearance
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test
- Regional travel is required
