Job Summary
Reimbursement Case Manager at UBC serves as a patient advocate and single point of contact for prior authorization and appeal processing, coordinating patient access to therapies and follow-ups, and facilitating access to support services such as co-pay assistance programs and patient assistance programs. The role emphasizes overseeing caseloads, ensuring timely case elements, communicating benefits and responsibilities to patients and providers, and performing quality checks while complying with safety and environmental programs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, relevant pharmacy benefit management experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Remote opportunities are available; duties involve inbound/outbound patient/provider communications and coordination across stakeholders to support patient access to therapies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or six years of relevant working experience
- Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in pharmacy benefit management preferred
- Medical Assistant, Social Worker or Senior Reimbursement Specialist experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of medical and claims processing terminology
- Excellent written/verbal communication to include providing clear instructions
