Job Summary
Case Manager role for Refuge Victoria in the outer Eastern Melbourne Suburbs (Eastern Suburbs, Melbourne, AU). Responsibilities include intake, comprehensive risk assessment, safety plans using MARAM, needs assessments, case planning and reviews, exit plans, advocacy and referral to services, plus linking clients to health, mental health, legal, housing, education, and other supports. Supports women and children experiencing family violence accessing crisis accommodation/refuge; involves collaboration with agencies (DFFH, child protection) and providing guidance to staff. Requires a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent, or related qualification with minimum 2 years case management experience (5 years preferred), knowledge of MARAM, and ability to conduct intake, risk assessment, safety planning, and client advocacy. Must be willing to work in-person in the Eastern Melbourne Suburbs; includes supervision, development opportunities, and access to benefits. Position notes include EO Act 2010 compliance (women only).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Social Work or other equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years Case Management Experience preferably within a family violence setting
- Knowledge of MARAM framework (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework)
- National police check
- Working with Children Check
- Refuge Victoria requires a national police check, referee checks, and Working with Children Check
