Job Summary
Provide therapeutic activities and companionship to individuals in skilled nursing facilities, focusing on social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Build meaningful relationships with seniors while maintaining high levels of dependability and interpersonal skills. Prior experience working with Alzheimer patients, in long-term care settings, or within social work and counseling fields is preferred. Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current insurance. Complete professional documentation using EHR systems where applicable. Enrich the lives of aging adults through personalized activities that support dignity and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Diploma or GED required
- Must have experience working with Alzheimer patients
- High level of commitment, dependability, and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current automobile insurance meeting state minimum liability requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Desire to improve quality of life for aging adults
- Prior experience as an STNA, CNA, or in a nursing or long-term care setting is preferred
- Prior experience in social work, counseling, human services, or a related field is preferred
- Previous EHR system use, and professional documentation experience are helpful
