Job Summary
Provide therapeutic activities and companionship to individuals in skilled nursing facilities, focusing on social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Build meaningful relationships with seniors while ensuring they are treated with dignity throughout their aging process. Maintain professional documentation using EHR systems and coordinate care for patients with Alzheimer's disease. Prior experience as an STNA, CNA, or in social work, counseling, or human services is preferred. This role may be filled as either a part-time or full-time position.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Diploma or GED required
- Must have experience working with Alzheimer patients
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current automobile insurance meeting state minimum liability requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Desire to improve quality of life for aging adults
- High level of commitment, dependability, and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience as an STNA, CNA, or in a nursing or long-term care setting is preferred
- Prior experience in social work, counseling, human services, or a related field is preferred
- Previous EHR system use, and professional documentation experience are helpful
