Job Summary

Oversee and support unaccompanied minors in the Nuevo Camino program by assessing sponsors for family reunification, evaluating their safety, and collaborating with Federal Field Specialists on concerns. Ensure each child receives essential services including medical, dental, mental health care, basic education, program orientation, and legal screening while maintaining compliance with ORR, federal regulations, and case management standards. Manage time effectively, multi-task, and determine priorities within a team environment focused on trauma-informed, culturally appropriate care for immigrant youth in Sunset Park, NYC.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four year college or equivalent
  • 1 year of similar experience
  • Bilingual and Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and co-workers
  • Knowledgeable about working with immigrant youth population
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task, and determine priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledgeable about ACS/OCFS regulations governing disciplinary actions
  • Experience and facility working with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • HSVS requires all new hires to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date

Desired Qualifications

  • CPR-Certified a plus
