Job Summary
Provide comprehensive case management to a caseload of 20-25 active tenants, including counseling, crisis intervention, and annual wellness planning. Develop programming and activities in collaboration with the Program Director and families, while researching and implementing therapeutic workshops for children. Build community connections to refer tenants to mental health, physical health, and employment services, and coordinate with offsite partners to ensure ongoing housing stability. Maintain up-to-date case files, enter tenant contacts into the internal database, and attend weekly supervision meetings. This full-time role includes one late-night shift and reports directly to the Program Director within New Destiny's largest supportive housing provider for domestic violence survivors in New York.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor's degree, BSW or BA/S in the areas of Psychology, Sociology, Early Education
- Knowledge of social services and organizations in the Queens
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of direct service experience
- Knowledge and experience assisting individuals to access resources in the areas of housing stability, health &mental health, and food security
- Proven track record in engaging children and adults who have experienced homelessness and domestic violence
- Ability to be empathetic, creative, and resourceful
- Experience with trauma-informed care
- Highly organized

- Computer literacy
