Job Summary
Conduct needs and safety assessments, manage intake, and develop self-driven goals for homeless youth to facilitate successful outcomes. Coordinate referrals for mental health, medical, dental, and housing services while partnering with Nine Star, Public Health, and community agencies to provide wraparound support. Lead weekly house meetings, enforce house rules, and oversee sanitation standards to maintain housing unit quality. Facilitate housing applications and move-ins/out, manage emergency on-call rotations, and communicate effectively with families, courts, and service providers. Maintain professional boundaries and advocate for youth to establish healthy goals and productive community integration.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Social work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, or Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling
- Two (2) years providing case management services
- Strong understanding of community resources and referral agencies
- If in recovery must be in remission for two (2) year and working a program of recovery
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified or able to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory state and federal background check
- Approved National Provider Identifier Standard (NPI) status
- state Approval as a Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) or a Provisional (QAP)
- Must have a valid Alaska Driver's License
- Must be insurable under My House vehicle insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, or Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling
- Alaska Chemical Dependency Counselor Certification I (CDC I)
- Working knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certified
- Current NPI
- Current QAP
