Job Summary
Conduct benefit investigations, enroll patients in financial assistance programs, and coordinate drug delivery while managing complex issues across rare disease therapy journeys. Engage patients and families to build long-term relationships, provide education on insurance options and limitations, and proactively plan ongoing coverage maintenance by collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and specialty pharmacies. Establish professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Patient Support Services, Sales, and Market Access partners, while representing Sanofi at patient congresses and meetings. Document call details with a focus on data integrity, leverage CRM reporting tools for strategic decisions, and ensure full compliance with Sanofi policies. Maintain professional-level Spanish proficiency to communicate directly with patients in Florida and Puerto Rico.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2+ years patient-facing role experience in case management, reimbursement, patient advocacy, or provider's office
- Experience with engaging patients and caregivers managing rare or chronic conditions
- Professional-level Spanish proficiency (verbal and written)
- Comprehensive understanding of the reimbursement process, billing and coding, insurance plans, payer trends, financial assistance programs, charitable access and related resources
- Excellent phone communication with a strong service-oriented mindset
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel within the US, including occasional nights and weekends (up to 10%)
- Flexibility to adjust working hours based on business needs and team coverage requirements
