Case Manager II - Foster Care Development

Case Manager II for the Unaccompanied Minor Foster Care program leads outreach, recruitment, and volunteer support to grow Community Placements for youth. Responsibilities include delivering outreach presentations to community and faith-based organizations, guiding potential foster parents through policies and processes (including legal guardianship, home placement, school systems), coordinating background checks, home safety assessments, and providing ongoing liaison support to UMP supervisors. The role supervises a caseload of Community Placements, maintains case files and regular contact, participates in CFT meetings, assists in developing placement agreements, and supports program events and fundraising efforts. Required competencies include trauma-informed care, cross-cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, documentation accuracy, and strong communication skills. Education: minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience preferred with foreign-born children; bilingual and child welfare specialization preferred. Must be able to drive (AZ license), consent to fingerprint clearance, complete CPR/First Aid within 90 days, and be available for night/weekend on-call as needed.
