Job Summary
Manage complex litigation matters from a factual and procedural perspective, serving as the central point of coordination for attorneys, clients, outside counsel, and vendors. Draft legal documents, prepare for document collections, and participate in depositions, trials, and mediations while overseeing electronic case-management tools. Act as a lead paralegal to delegate work, manage case staffing, and develop tracking systems to improve efficiency. Develop and monitor case budgets, mentor associates, and interact extensively with clients as a key point of contact. Requires extensive experience in product liability, mass torts, and class actions, with a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of paralegal experience. Full-time hybrid schedule with pay ranging from $70.43 to $112.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field
- 10+ years of paralegal experience within a relevant practice group
- Extensive experience with complex litigation, particularly product liability, mass tort, and class action matters
- Advanced understanding of federal, state, and local court rules and electronic and hard-copy filing procedures
- California-based paralegals must meet applicable California Paralegal requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience acting as a lead paralegal or managing complex cases and legal teams strongly preferred
- Extensive hands-on experience managing sophisticated litigation matters within a law firm environment
- Strong background in product liability, mass torts, and class actions
- Demonstrated experience preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, witness interviews, and document collections
- Proven ability to serve as a lead paralegal and oversee attorneys, paralegals, case assistants, vendors, and complex workflows
- Strong client-facing experience, including interaction with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and other external parties
- Highly advanced technical skills with experience developing and maintaining case-management and tracking systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience managing case budgets, staffing, and resources
- Excellent leadership, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and time zones while managing a high volume of complex work
- Independent, proactive, and able to balance sophisticated legal work with the operational and business needs of the practice
